Dorn Bruno Fehrenbac her

Dona Bruno Fehrenbacher, 0.S.B., is to be Abbot of Buckfast in succession to the late Dom Ansear Vonier, O.S.B.

Dorn Bruno was elected by the Buckfast monks some weeks ago, and his election has been confirmed by the authorities in Rome.

A naturalised Englishman, Dom Bruno is 43 years old. He was born in Wiirthemberg. He came to England with the intention of joining the Buckfast community at the age of 16. He was naturalised in 1935.

WORK IN THE EAST Dom Bruno has for the past few years been in Syria and Palestine charged with the task of training the Uniate Syrian clergy.

It is expected that he will return to England at once for his installation as Abbot of Buckfast.
