TV priests wanted

GRANADA Television is looking for a team of three priests to appear on the weekly TV quiz show Busman's Holiday.

The team of priests must answer questions on travel, geography, their own profession and those of the two opposing teams.

If they win the initial funds of the hit show, now in its eighth series, they will win a trip to a European city but the ultimate prize is a "long-haul" trip to an unknown destination.

Although nuns, vicars and university chaplains have been on the programme in the past, a team of priests has yet to appear.

A spokesman for Granada said they would also be interested if any monks or other religious would like to apply.

The winning team will be given the chance to experience how people abroad tackle the same job.

If you would like to be considered for the show and you can produce a team of three priests, or know some likely candidates, write for an application form to Lynn Chadwick, Busman's Holiday, Granada Television, Quay Street, Manchester, M60 9EA or telephone 061-834 7694.
