Catholic Libraries

Sir,-Catholics who might subscribe to the Catholic Central Library cannot afford to do so and those who can afford it prefer to purchase their own books. The Library is tucked away in a dingy back street and looks most depressing from the outside. Not at all what one would expect for the Catholic Central Library!

A greater need for London is a Catholic Reference Library and Reading Room situated conspicuously in a inain West End thoroughfare, Perhaps the Christian Science Reading Rooms might well provide a pattern from which we might draw ideas.
