MANCHESTER RATING VALUER

For many years rating valuer to the Manchester Corporation, Mr Ernest Galleon, who lived at Birkdale, has died. He was senior partner in the Manchester firm of W. T. Gunson and Son, architects, surveyors and valuers, and he also acted as rating valuer to the Barton Assessment Committee and the Warrington Assessment Committee. A former chairman of the Lancashire and Cheshire branch of the Chartered Surveyors' Institute, he was also a past president of the Manchester Society of Land Agents and Surveyors.

The interment took place at Ainsdale (Lancs.) Catholic Cemetery on Monday.
