Orpington Christian Social Council, representing a score of churches and organkations of all denominations, have organised a week's campaign of meetings from September 5 to 12 to make known the Five Standards for a Christian Social Order agreed by the leaders of the Churches in the famous letter. to the Times.

Father Owen F'. Dudley will be the Catholic speaker at the opening rally in the Priory Grounds on Sunday afternoon, and meetings will be held each night in the Orpington Hall, one standard being dealt with at each meeting. Catholic speakers include: Monday : Father Leo Cralea, S.J.. on " Maldistribution of Wealth "; Tuesday: Councillor J. F. Parker, on " Educational Opportunity for All "; Wednesday, the Hon, Mrs. Bower, " The Family."

In preparation for the week study groups have been examining the standards and the problems with which they deal for same time and vigorous poster and press campaigns have been undertaken throughout the whole urban district.
