The M.B.E. is awarded to Mother Eugenie (Pickering), Mother Superior of St. Francis's Convent, Jesse1ton, North Borneo; Sister M. Frances (Rolleson), for services to education in Tanganyika, and Sister M. Clematia (Schmitz), sister-mcharge of the Catholic Leprosariuni at Anelauna, New Ireland.

King's anaesthetist

Dr. Robert Machray, the anaesthetist at the King's operation, is made a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.
