In company with the greater part of the Exhibition the Catholic Pavilion is being built following the official opening of the Exhibition, which was itself throe weeks late.
The golden spire is at present being erected and at its summit the statue of Our Lady of France will stand over the Erdiibi lion. The high altar in the chapel has been presented by the French Government.
Next to the chapel will be the hall of French Foreign Missions, and from a baptistry, symbolic of the source of all Christian life, a staircase will lead to the hall of childhood in which maternity, child welfare, etc., will be exhibited. An interesting and novel feature will be the drawings by children of under twelve years which will adorn the walls of the study and catechism rooms.
