Care for child AIDS victims

A UNIQUE experiment in caring for the increasing number of babies with AIDS has been undertaken by the Mercy Sisters order at the Farano Centre for Children in Albany, New York.

Recent figures released in New York City indicated that one in 60 babies born in the city were suffering from AIDS. Their parents came mainly for the large Hispanic community or were drug users. Both sections of the community have not been reached, or have failed to heed the media warnings on the danger of AIDS, state officials estimated.
