Sto—Has " Mr. Williams "—we poor vulgar Celts call him " Emlyn Williams "—done more than dramatise, with due reverence. the influence of a holy soul in which, to some extent, the Life and Passion of Our Saviour. has been reproduced as in the ease of many Saints. Though Emlyn is not a Catholic. I feel sure that he, at least, has been at " the original," and that he has tried to interpret it with reverence and love. There is a redemption for the vulgar—even for a °vulgar showman "—a point which " W. J. I." rightly emphasised in his recent brit-, limit review of Atdous Huxley 's latest novel
