Germany has just celebrated the tenth anniversary of her English prophet, Houston Stewart Chamberlain, the British general who " went German."
Chamberlain died in 1927 but in Nazi minds he lives on as the man who in 1923 prophesied Hitler's victory and spoke of Germany's defeat in the Great War as " nothing but postponed victory."
The Great War, he maintained, was caused hy the Allies. England sinned then more than any other power against the nation of his adoption. Chamberlain believed in Gobineau's theory that Nordics are the only creative race.
