23 volumes on Cardinal Mindszenty

THE Italian Catholic Action newspaper 11 Quotidian°, in a tribute to Cardinal Minds untY, arrested by the Hungar ian Communists just after Christmas two years ago, states

that a 23-volume collection of

articles on the Cardinal's life, his fight against Nazism and Com

munism. and his trial and imprisonment has just been completed. It has been compiled by Dom Girolamo Szakay, a Hungarian Benedictine.

"It is, without doubt. a unique case that a man during his lifetime has been capable of causing such a unanimints feeling of admiration, of approval and veneration which has been expressed in the world's Press and collected in 23 volumes," says Quotidiano.

'' These volumes," it adds. "are not written in vain and empty lyricism but are based on the positive documentation which present the life and works and activities of Cardinal Mindszenty in a valid and official manner to the day of the ill-famed trial and his Calvary as a martyr of truth."
