Father PatriCk Harrington, aged 59. died suddenly on May 26th, at Sheldon where he was Parish priest since 19711 Father Harrington was born in Cork and attended the Presentation Brothers School and also St. Fiebar's Junior Seminary beginning his studies for the priesthood at All Hallows College, Dublin where he was ordained for the diocese of Plymouth by the late Dr. O'Neill, Bishop of Limerick. The ordination was on
June 23rd 1946. His first appointment was as assistant priest at St. Edward's Church. Paverell. Plymouth and in 1952 due to illness he became chaplain at St. Augustine's Priory. Newton Abbot. In 1956 he became assistant at Sidmoulh and in 1959 at Teignroduth In October 1960 he became the parish priest at Sherborne, Dorset then he moved in October 1970 to Sheldon.
