Holy Communion in the ruins

Only three children were to make their first Holy Communion the other day in a Cologne parish but Cardinal Frings went himself to administer the Blessed Sacrament to them.

The reason was that the children are living in the ruins of the Capitol -the Capitol of Roman times-and that it is in this bomb-devastated district that Cologne has built its first post-war church. It is dedicated to Our Lady.
