Mr. Francis Matthews, American Secretary of the Navy, who has been spoken of as a prospective successor to Mr. Myron Taylor as President Truman's envoy to the Holy See, stated this week that he hopes to visit Rome in September.
Mr, Matthews was formerly Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus.
