Bishop to unveil memorial to college dead

Bishop Myers, a former President of St. Edmund's College. Old Hall, Wart, will on Whit-Monday May 29, bless and unveil the war memorial plaque in the college chapel recording the names of the 43 former students who lost their lives in the second World War.

The ceremony will take place at 4.30 p.m. and AM be preceded by tea for visitors at 4 pm, The memorial fund, which is still open. provides for Foundation Masses to be said at the college for the fallen and for the provision of additional playing fields which have become a necessity in view of the increasing number of students.

The work of levelling and draining is now in progress. and when completed will provide five more football pitches and two cricket pitches.
