After saying Mass. he wished God-speed to a pilgrim who had cycled out front Bury St. Edmund's, heard Mass and received Holy Communion on the first lap of his pilgrimage to Rome. Fr. Hulme had left Rome only on Friday. getting hack just in time for the Mass.
