Cardinal Griffin.-Today (Friday): Offers Mass in the Cathedral for members living and deceased of the Society of St. Augustine, 8 a.m.; visits Hospital of St. John and St. Elizabeth, 3.45 p.m. Tomorrow : Attends dinner at the K.S.C. Club to present Papal award to Mr. L. P. Arnold, 7.30 p.m. Sunday (Remembrance Sunday): Presides at Solemn Requiem and gives Absolution in the Cathedral, 12 noon; gives Pontifical Benediction in the Cathedral at service to conclude mission to Irish workers, 5 p.m. Thursday : Presides at annual prize-giving at the Cardinal Vaughan School, 11.15 a.m.

Clifton.-Fr. T. G. McReynolds has been appointed to Chipping Sodbury as parish priest : Fr. T. Keane, has been appointed to Melksham as parish priest. M. O'Regan has been appointed to Chippenham as assistant priest, and Fr. J. Supple to Frame as assistant priest.

Travelling Missions

Southwark.-The Mission will on Sunday visit : I. Wcstbourne and Bosham in the parish of ChichesterMass will be said at Deep Springs, Westbourne, at 8.30 a.m., and at the Catholic Chapel, Bosham. at 10 a.m.; 2, In the parish of Orpington-Mass will be said in the Village Hall, Knockholt. at 8.30 a.m., and in the Village Hall, Downe. at 10 a.m.

Brentwood.-Mass will be said on Sunday in the Bentley Social Club, Pilgrim's Hatch, at 8.15 a.m. and at Knollshill Farm, Stapleford Abbous, at 10 :1.111. Next week the Mission will visit Tiptrec and Tollesbury.

Shrewsbury.-Mass will be said on Sunday in the Village Hall at Ford at 9 a.m., and at Westbury at 11 a.m. The Mission will next week visit Pontesbury in Shropshire, and Farndon in Cheshire
