A member of the parish of St. Ambrose described the method of the two missioners. Fr. Shiel and Fr. Conran. They, the parish clergy, and nuns call on Catholics neighbouring the house chosen for saying Mass and tell them about it. Soon before 7 p.m. the children of the chosen family are sent out to remind the neighbours and guide them to the house.
The Jesuits arrive with a mission Mass-box. Altar cloths are laid on a table and candles are lit. One priest vests while the other explains the vestments.
