Cardinal Cushing's requiem

CARDINAL CUSHING. who retired in September after 26 years as Archbishop of Boston, Massachusetts, died from cancer on Monday. aged 75. Archbishop Medeiros, who succeeded him, was at his bedside at his home in the Brighton district of Boston.

His body is lying in state at Holy Cross Cathedral, where his Requiem Mass will be sung tomorrow morning. He will be buried at St. Coletta's Home for Retarded Children, which he founded.
