SIR.-Writing as one who has made a small mark in these columns in the past as an opinionated ignoramus and more than a little of an unimaginative vandal, may I venture to suggest that in the current discussion of sponsored TV, the opponents in many cases take it for granted that the sponsors must necessarily he vulgar, uncivilised, and, of course, antiChristian.
