Broadcasting Sponsors

SIR.-Writing as one who has made a small mark in these columns in the past as an opinionated ignoramus and more than a little of an unimaginative vandal, may I venture to suggest that in the current discussion of sponsored TV, the opponents in many cases take it for granted that the sponsors must necessarily he vulgar, uncivilised, and, of course, antiChristian.

The reason, it would seem, why they must be such absolute apes is that they arc Capitalists.

Though we are used to this view from reading the Daily Worker and the works of Mr. Bevan, does it really represent the views of most Catholics?
