Make a convert next year

BISHOP RESTIEAUX of Ply. mouth urges the laity each to resolve this Advent to pray and work during the coming year to bring a convert into the Church. But how to start?

" There must be many ways of interesting others in Christ's truth." says the Bishop. " but per. haps none is better than to speak about the Mass. The Mass is our chief treasure and you should not hesitate to invite your friends to accompany you to Mass, explaining to them its meaning and its ceremonies .

" You will find that many display great indifference towards their salvation but God will do the work in their hearts if you persevere. " It is perhaps a good idea to make a mental choice of some particular individual for whom you will offer your efforts; it will perhaps he a non-Catholic wife or husband, or some relative or special friend. " Much prayer and good example will be needed and also endless patience and charity. " The enemies of Christ work vigorously to spread ,stheir evil doctrines, and we should not be less active than they are."
