Lambent beams

From J. C. Jackson Stevens Sir, Am I alone in mourning the loss of that excellent publication, "Lambent"— with its refreshing commentary on the Daily Mass Readings and very uplifting articles.

Although there is another publication of Daily commentary on the Mass Readings, it is very much aimed at a particular section of the community and with this specific aim cannot be all things to all men.

It is also a sad state of affairs when the Catholic laity are denied choice. There was surely room in the market place for both publications.

Now that there are so few Catholic Book shops: none in Birmingham. Perhaps Lambent should have pursued a more upbeat selling programme; we are all the poorer for its demise.

Yours faithfully,

J C JACKSON STEVENS Telford .rFi 6SS
