The French Ambassador to the Holy See states that more than 80,000 French pilgrims — most of them people of modest means—have already visited Rome for the Holy Year and that another 20,000 will go before the end of the year.
Scandinavian visitors to Rome in the first six months of this year have included 3,000 non-Catholics, states the Holy Year Central Committee.
