Mr. William F. A. Turgeon, Canadian High Commissioner in Dublin, has been appointed Ambassador to the Republic of Ireland. He is the first ambassador to Ireland appointed by a British Dominion. Mr. Turgeon. born in New Brunswick, was educated in New York by the Christian Brothers. He has been Ambassador to Mexico and Belgium.
