The Nottingham Education Committee has agreed to amend the city's development plan so as to include five new Catholic secondary schools -four for 300 pupils and the fifth' for 450.
The fifth, for which a site has already been chosen at Apsley, will be a secondary modern school and will cost about £108,000.
Two of the other schools, up to secondary-grammar-technical school standard, will cost about £82,500 each. The remaining two will give secondary-modern standard education and cost £72,000 each.
