SEAFORD WAS FIRST . .

Seaford's Catholic Church, which was the first in England to be dedicated to St. Thomas More. is to celebrate its silver jubilee next Sunday with Solemn High Mass at which Mgr. Gordon Wheeler, Westminster Cathedral Administrator, will preach. Other celebrations have had to be postponed because of the death last month of the parish priest, Fr. R. G. Webb.

Fr. Webb founded the parish when there were only a few Catholics in the area. He raised the money to build both the church and the presbytery.
