Sisters behind bars again

Two Sisters. Helpers of the Holy Souls, who have already had experience of Communist prisons, have been rearrested in Shanghai, according to reports reaching Hong Kon g. The accusation against them is that they made pontifical documents known to Christians of their locality.

The Sisters were not arrested at the same time. Sister St. Louise de Marillac (Cecilia Lian g) was arrested on December 24, 1957, while Sister St. Martha (Teresa Sens) was arrested a short time later. Unconfirmed reports state that some Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul were also arrested.
