A copy of the first Polygot Bible to be published will be on show at the National Book League Exhibition. " Fine Books from Famous Houses," being held from April 17 to May 31 this year at their headquarters in Albemarle Street, London.
This edition was prepared by Cardinal Ximdnez, Archbishop of Toledo, and publication began at Aleala in 1502; the copy on show is dated 1517. It contains the Hebrew, Greek, and Latin versions of the Old Testament and the Greek and Latin versions of the New, together with the Chaldaic Targurn of the Pentateuch.
