There are now 3,884 priests in Colombia, South Ameriva, an increase of 558 priests over the last five years, according to figures in the recently published Year Book of the Church in Colombia. There are more than 13 million Catlfolics in the country, in 1,261 parishes—I13 more than in 1953.
In major seminaries in the country, there are nearly 300 seminarians, and about 1,000 in minor seminaries.
