Catholic Evidence Guild speakers in Birmingham and the Potteries have held outdoor meetings since May, and hope to continue this as long as possible in spite of the black-out, it was announced at the annual meeting of the Birmingham Diocesan Council of the Guild, which met under the presidency of Dr. Nicholson, of Oscott College, at 72, Bath Street, Birmingham, last week. Representatives attended from Birmingham, Coventry, Kenilworth, and Potteries Centres.
Voting for the annual election of officers resulted as followe: Diocesan Master, Mr. J. P. Bennett (Coventry); Diocesan secretary, Miss J. M. Robinson (Coventry); Diocesan treasurer, Mr. E. Aitken (Kenilworth).
On accepting office, Mr. Bennett paid a tribute to the retiring Diocesan Master, Mr. Carroll, who had worked so hard during the past three years to further the interests of the Guild.
