Old soldiers of the first World War — Austrians, Bavarians and Italians — gathered recently on the summit of Col di Lana, a mountain in thc Tyrolean Alps, to attend Mass celebrated by 1.r. Seelos, a chaplain in the old Austrian Imperial Army.

Fighting for possession of the summit cost the lives of thousands of men in 1916.17,
