Beatification considered

The writings of Fr. Anthony Basil Moreau. 19th-century founder of the Hols' Cross Congregation, were among those of four persons studied by the Sacred Congregation of Rites in connection with their causes for beatification last week.

The others whose Writings were considered by the congregation were Joseph Mary Chiron. a priest of thc Third Order of St. Francis, who died in 185Z: John James Bazin, founder ot the Sisters of Mercy who died in 1855 and Joan of Jesus, foundress of the penitent Franciscan Recollects.
