KOREA WAIFS During May, two million Anicrcan Cathnlic school-children will hecome "foster parents" to abandoned orphans in Korea. They will also "adopt" orphans in sections of Africa menaced by Mau Mau, and in Burma and other troubled areas where missionaries are working.
May has been proclaimed "Adoption Month" by the Holy Childhood Association, which is established in Catholic elenientary hools in every archdiocese and diocese of the United States.
During the month the children will offer special prayers for the waifs of war and unrest. They will also contribute pennies and dimes saved from foregoing visits to the cinema and dropped in Holy Childhood "mite boxes."
