DR. MOSTYN TO BE A CANON OF ST. PETERS

Dr. John Mostyn, Ph.D., D.C.L., who until last year was administrator of the parish of Tollington Park, -London, has been appointed by the Holy Father as a Canon of St. Peters, Rome. The last Englishman to hold this position was the late Cardinal Hinsley.

On taking the oath he will become a Protonotary Apostolic "Sopronnumerian" and one of the senior prelates in Rome. He will live in the Vatican City. Dr. Mostyn is the fourth son of the late Colonel Edward Mostyn, of Aundel in Sussex. He was horn in 1903, educated Ladycross, Seaford, Downside, Fribourg University and in Rome. He was ordained in 1926 by his cousin the late Archbishop of Cardiff and became administrator at Tollington Park in 1938.
