'No change on birth control'

Cardinal Cushing said in Boston on Tuesday that he did not forsec any immediate change in the Catholic position on birth control.

He believed the Pope, in his U.N. speech reference, was preparing Catholic opinion for an early statement.

"My guess is that this will emphasise the Christian family. The Pope knows he cannot change the law of the Church one iota."
