I WISH to protest against the manner in which you have reported the Annual General Meeting of the Converts' Aid Society (July 2).
Practically the whole of your report is concerned with criticism, implied or stated of the way the Society is run. There was no mention of the fact that 18 clergymen from other denominations have recently been received into the Catholic Church, that a number of them are now studying for the priesthood and that probably all them have been helped by the Society. It is quite obvious that The Catholic Herald, its directors and staff are trying to put the Converts' Aid Society in the worst possible light and in line with other irresponsible media are not concerned with objectivity or indeed with true charity.
