Ideal summer conditions favoured the annual outdoor Ransom procession from St. Mary's, Horncluirch, last Sunday. The processionists included schoolchildren, Children of Mary, men and women of the Blessed Sacrament Guild, Knights of St. Columba, etc., with St. Patrick's, Wapping, drum and fife band; and many window shrines were a feature of the route.
Upon returning to the church, a short address was given by Fr. George Steadman (Burnharn-on-Crouch), who had led the procession.
