EX-LORD MAYOR OF BIRMINGHAM A Requiem Mass was said at the Church of St. John, Balsall Heath, Birmingham, on Wednesday, May 11, for Alderman W. W. Saunders. a former Lord Mayor of Birmingham (1930-1), who died recently at the age of 78. Alderman Saunders was the second Labour Lord Mayor of the City.

There attended • the present Lord Mayor, the Town Clerk, three former Lord Mayors and many members of the City Council. Alderman Sennders was buried in the family graft at Olton Monastery.
