THE Holy Father, through Cardinal von Faulhaber, has sent a special message of praise, with his portrait to an American Jewish nurse in Munich, Lt.-Col. Jeanette Blech.

His Holiness speaks of her "exquisite spirit of charity " to the sick and wounded and " her noble generosity to the Vincentian sisters " who work with her in the 98th General Hospital in Munich.

Jeanette Blech had charge of a fund which made it possible to send 60 Vincentian sisters on a pilgrimage to Rome.
