Cardinal blesses Bala pilgrims

Cardinal Griffin and the Apostolic Delegate have sent special blessings to all who take part in the Whitsuntide pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in the little town of Bala. North Wales.

The Cardinal, writing to the Knights of St. Cokintba, organisers of the pilgrimage, says that more and more people are beginning to realise that only through Our Lady and the teaching of her beloved Son can the Communist menace be met.

His Eminence adds : "I pray that our Blessed Mother may harken to the prayersof her children at Fatima."

Archbishop Godfrey says that as the Delegate of the Holy Father he gladly blesses all who take part in this day of intercession for world peace.
