Argentina's Christian Youth Make Themselves Heard

The Christian Labour Youth of Argentina has petitioned the Minister of Interior, Miguel Culaciatti, to take the necessary steps to reduce the cost of the primmefiecessities of life, and to raise the wages of workers whose minitnum living costs exceed their average earnings.

The petition states that the disproportion between living costs and wages it " catering a deficit in the family budges, keeping the worker's family constantly in debt. and forcing it 10 live under unhygienic conditions with grave detriment to physical and moral health."

Such conditinns not only affect the quality of the work done by the head of the family, but also bring about a " general discontent among the working-class; predisposing it to acceptance of the subversive theories of the communistic soap-box orator."
