'New look' nuns see 'new look' school opened

The many parents and friends who went to see the blessing of the new wing of St. Angela's Providence Convent School. Palmers Green, London, by Cardinal Griffin last week, had a surprise.

For the Mother General and several nuns who had come over from France for the ceremony were dressed in their "new look" habits.

The wing has been designed by Mr. D. Plaskett Marshall, F.R.I.B.A.

After the ceremony the Cardinal made a tour of the building. Among the many guests were Archbishop Roberts, Si., the Mayor and Mayoress of Southgate, the borough education officer and local civic leaders.

The classrooms are the first part of the new primary school and it is hoped the next stage, the assembly hall, will soon be started.
