SIR' How I agree with your
comment. The Mass is the worship of a Family, the family of Christ, which is itself a family of families. It is a social act, not an individual one.
It is an act in which the small child has as much right to be involved, (well-behaved or not), as the adult. What is needed is not a building specially designed to segregate certain members of the family, hut a change of heart and mind on the part of those who fail to realise this great truth.
We also need more instruction on the meaning and purpose of the Mass from our pulpits, so that people begin to participate properly and fully in this public act of worship, (which. in spite of the Bishops' directives is not happening at present,)-and so that this hateful error of regarding the Mass as a private devotion is corrected finally, once and for all.
