St Columba’s College provides a secure, supportive environment in which boys from the age of four up to 18 years old can achieve academic, sporting and personal excellence.
We believe in a holistic approach to education. Every young person learns from their total school experience whether through sport, music, drama and especially through service. In addition to these experiences being available within the curriculum, we offer an extensive Extra and Extended Curriculum with a range of opportunities from the Duke of Edinburgh Award and the Combined Cadet Force to debate and Young Enterprise. Each of these activities develops self-knowledge, teamwork, leadership and resilience – qualities demanded at University and by employers.
St Columba’s College regularly wins a host of trophies for Rugby, athletics and other sports throughout the whole school and we are recognised for our basketball achievement. There is a strong tradition of music, drama and public speaking at St Columba’s College with concerts and drama productions regularly staged throughout the year.
The College has strong links with two schools in Zambia: the Prep school supports a centre for street children and, each year, a team of staff and Sixth Formers undertakes a programme of building and renovation at St Francis School.
The strength of the school lies in the combination of high expectations, with a culture of mutual respect and care, creating a stimulating happy environment in which boys thrive and learn, building firm foundations for confident socially skilled pupils.
You can learn more about St Columba’s College from our website, www.stcolumbascollege.org. Our open days take place on Thursday 29th September for the Senior School and Saturday 1st October for the whole College, and we would also be delighted to arrange an individual tour of the College for you and your family with one of our boys.
